Hello ... it's me ...

Haven't cracked open a screen on this LJ in about a billion years.
OK, maybe it's only two, but wow. I'm feeling somewhat inspired by
space_wrapped stories, and this great Doom crossover fic and I've got a vacation coming up. I may just break out some of my more crack-addled crossover ideas out and take them for a spin. Not sure I'm ready to jump back into the Switch-verse as yet, but maybe if I do something completely different, it'll jumpstart me.
I've got two massive story ideas that I never posted.
The first is called Loyalty, and I really can't explain anything about it without spoiling it, except to say that I've always believed that the AOS-verse is a much darker universe than TOS. So, the premise is that TOS Spock crashing into the AOS verse and Nero following him changes significantly more than just the events of that movie. It breaks off before ST:ID ever happens, and follows a much different path. It grew out of a long-lost story idea from one of the kink-memes that really mutated.
I'll have to pull it back out and look at it, but the one I'm really motivated to find again is the one I think I called the Crack-Addled Crossover in my notes folder. It's a mash-up of Doom and Marvelverse stuff, mostly because I couldn't get over the idea that George Kirk was really Thor because ... lightning in space?
There are also plenty of times in both the Marvelverse, and in the Norse tradition, where Odin makes one of his sons mortal to teach them a lesson, or something. So, a Thor who doesn't know he's Thor? An incursion between realms that invokes the power of Thor, etc., Thor's self-sacrifice (and abiding live for mortal scientists) and ... wee baby Jim. Who grows up knowing other Marvelverse heroes, which I won't spoil here.
And then there's Bones, who is an altered human. I was going to make him the first Augment, and connect that to Doom, and go on from ST:ID, and ... I may just start sketching something out to please myself, to prove that I can actually still write something that isn't for my job.
I'm so glad the fandom is starting to wake up, me included. I know a lot of folks weren't happy about the trailer, but me? I'm inspired.
I hope.

Your ideas sound great and me, I think you should write whatever you fancy ....but I would be lying if I didn't wish some AOS words would spill forth....LOL
Just glad you are feeling inspired and hope that you enjoy yourself with whatever you write...
