Gah, I LOVE how you've taken the movie canon and twisted it with the universe you've woven so smoothly, it's perfect. This is clearly both YOUR fanfic's universe AND the movie canon, weaving together, and it works so well. I love seeing things from McCoy's perspective, a perspective that is so clearly missing from the movie itself.
I also love how Jim focused so intensely on Spock's loss of his mother, and how much that must have impacted him.
And having the KFF kids on different ships... dammit, man, you're makin' me cry!
Anyway, I'm definitely looking foward to the next installment. Happy Halloween! This fic installment was definitely a treat, not a trick. :D
