Release the Hounds!

Or, well, the editors. That is to say, [livejournal.com profile] between_names, [livejournal.com profile] extrabitter and [livejournal.com profile] taverl -- if you're still hanging around these parts, please feel free to wield your metaphorical red pens and have at it. I've finally put in all of my changes on all 459 pages and 234,006 words of Switch.

:: whew ::

I tried to get everything, but ... I doubt I have. I've noticed that I've got a problem with things like saying padd in one place and PADD in another, changing character names (Ivanova/Federova) or spellings (Jindal/Jindahl) and stuff like that. So, please be on the lookout. Also, if anyone else wants to pipe up with typoes, weirdnesses, etc., now would be the time.

Also, does anyone have any idea how I change the Word .doc, which was written with lj's coding in it, (i.e., <> these guys) so that it becomes bolds and italics and not the carats that currently litter the text. I've tried making it an html doc, but that doesn't work, and I'd really hate to have to strip out 459 pages of code littered throughout the text and manually replace it with bold and italics. So, help?

Finally -- I'm working on a little something from Jim's point-of-view, set in the Switch-verse, a few weeks after the epilogue. It's called Touch, and now that I've finally, finally finished the first pass of editing on Switch, I'm free to actually write down the ideas that have been roiling in my brain for the past few weeks. I knew I needed to finish one thing (mostly) before starting another, so I've been strict with myself.

Anyway -- Happy Easter to those who celebrate it, Happy Passover to those who have already celebrated, and Happy Spring to my Northern Hemisphere compadres.
