and although i'm sad it's over, i also feel really lucky to have been invited in the first place and i'm leaving with a goofy, completely satisfied smile on my face because i had the best time ever.

i'm just sitting here with my dog, staring at the screen, trying to think of something to say that will somehow convey how much i have enjoyed this story and just how damned brilliant it is. i haven't been commenting regularly because i'm a bad lurker but i have eagerly looked forward to a new chapter from the beginning and often reread whole bits. this story is such an EPIC!WIN. i have to say, it is perhaps the finest piece of fanfiction i have ever read (and i've read a lot in lots of verses). are you a professional writer or something? you've got to be, right? and if you're not, then you should be. because it is that good. if this ever became an e-book, i would actually pay money for it. seriously.
so thank you. i can't even imagine how you did it all. it's crazy how you managed to write a story this epic that is also cohesive, coherent and well-paced. and entertaining, because dammit, that is what all good stories must be at their most fundamental level. what an enjoyable read! well-told, believable plot. well-drawn, fully realized characters. emotional heft (i actually physically ached and teared up in parts). action. sex. (and you can even write superhot sex scenes!) humor. honestly, it gets to the point where i forget what is part of your story and what is part of canon.
so, yeah, thank you for allowing us along on this amazing journey with Leo and Jim.
