This is just beautiful. I love how real Bones, and Jim both are even when they are giving into their fears, stubbornness, and pride, and hurting each other. I grieved at Leo's empty dalliance with Ellie, and JIm's absolutism in not seeking McCoy out though he had to know that's what he needed to do. The utter pain and fury all of Jim's friends and acquaintances, even cupcake wouldn't talk to the press, felt on his behalf. I can not imagine the torn open feeling Jim had when that miserable Admiral published those last recordings of his parents for the whole world to hear.

I try not to be vindictive in real life, laughs, usually, but I feel perfectly justified in fiction. I hope the Admiral in question pays dearly for his indiscretion especially since it failed so miserably. I await more of this intoxicating fic when ever you have the time and energy to expand upon it. Brava. -SB
